Mrs. Rogers Meets Pickles the Pig

Why are Hazelwood Elementary students working so hard to reach their goal of reading 11,550 books by October 31st?  They are read…read…reading…so Mrs. Rogers will have to kiss Pickles the Pig!  Mrs. Rogers and Pickles met for the first time this morning at our leadership celebration.  Mrs. Rogers was NOT  happy about the possibility of kissing sweet Pickles!  The students were VERY exicted and started chanting, “Kiss the pig!”….”Kiss the pig!”.  All Hazelwood family members can help us reach our goal because any books that are read at home or school count as well as  books that are read by family members. Students need to bring in their reading tracking sheets each Monday to help us get closer to our goal and also get Mrs. Rogers t0 “Kiss the pig!”.
