Feb. 4th : Polar Plunge at Lake Junaluska

POLAR PLUNGE

Would you like to help support a great educational program for our students in Haywood County? Then, come join some of our brave Hazelwood staff members to jump in Lake Junaluska for the 5^th Annual Polar Plunge – including, ME, Mrs. Clarke, Mr. Conard, Ms. Mehaffey, Mrs. Baker, and several other staff members.

It will be on Super Bowl Saturday – February 4^th at 11:00am at the Lake Junaluska pool. The Polar Plunge raises money for the Haywood Waterways Association and their program called “Kids in the Creek”. This program exposes students to water quality through hands-on experiences. It is a very effective field trip for increasing knowledge about water and bringing out environmentally-responsible behaviors in our students.

If you don’t want to plunge, then support our team by watching the Polar Plunge or by donating. If you and your child would like to Plunge with us, please donate $25 per adult and $10 per child. Click on the donation button below. Also, parents need to sign a waiver beforehand on the day of the Plunge.
