With Parent Portal, parents can use our data management system, Power School, to stay up to date with their child’s grades. Teachers update the students’ grades on a weekly basis. It is the parent’s choice to set up a Parent Portal account. It is completely optional.

To learn more about the Parent Portal, please go to www.haywood.k12.nc.us (the HCS webpage), click on Resources and then click on Parents/Community. There you will find the following pages: An Introduction to Parent Portal, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and HCS Parent Portal Use Agreement Application for Access.

If you choose to create an account, you must come to the Hazelwood office with your photo ID and fill out the application (or complete an application and bring it to the office). You will then receive a letter specific to your child that includes your unique parent/guardian access ID and detailed instructions about how to set up an account.

Once you have created an account, we have placed a link called PowerSchool Parent Portal under Parent Links that will take you directly to the log-in page.

If you have additional questions, please call the school (456-2406) for further assistance.
